I just wanted to make sure that you fully understood my last response to your question.  To be clear, the example you posted would not meet the requirements for the Essay 3 assignment Outline or Essay. Please continue to review the assignment directions and textbook readings so that you are on track for constructing this new ‘type’ of argument essay. 

We have moved on to Cause and Effect Arguments for Essay 3. 

·       You need to argue.

·       You need to address Social Media as a CAUSE (for changes to American culture)

·       You need to address the effects on American culture FROM social media.

·       You need to focus on 2-3 changes—effects—that have occurred in American culture DUE TO social media.

·       You need to have a section with counter-arguments to the cause and effect relationship you proved in the earlier body-paragraphs.

What you presented above:  Because of (blank) there needs to be a limit on social media usage is NOT a cause and effect essay focus/thesis.
